Partner with Me for a Purpose- The Mary Kay Foundation dedicated to ending women's cancers and domestic abuse

PAMPERING WITH A PURPOSE!

Hi! I have partnered with the Mary Kay Foundation www.marykayfoundation.org to raise money by doing a “Face-a-thon.” This is just like a walk-a-thon or read-a-thon, except that I’m collecting donations for each face with whom I share Mary Kay products. My goal is 100 faces. I will personally be donating $1 per face – so when I reach my goal, I’ll be donating $100!

Throughout her life, Mary Kay Ash showed others how to live and how to give. She gave hope to women who lacked opportunity, self-esteem, and financial support. Now her legacy of love lives on through the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation, which she began in 1996. Our mission is to eliminate cancer and to end the epidemic of violence against women. Please help. You can make a difference in the lives of women across the nation. You can go to the link above to learn more about the Foundation, but one of the many highlights is that 97% of money raised goes directly to the causes the Foundation supports. In 2008 $5.4 million was donated for these two causes.

There are many ways to offer support:

1. Donate Your Face! Each person who receives a complimentary facial from now through September 30, 2009 will count towards my Face-a-thon! You will receive a gift and sponsored funds will be donated in your honor.

2. Hold a “Pampering with a Purpose” get together with 3-6 women in your home or office. You could receive free products for yourself, plus a beautiful gift! Each persons face will count towards the Face-a-thon.

3. Hold an Online and/or Book Party with 10-20 women. You’ll receive 10% of total sales in free product. I’ll invite customers to add a $1 to their order to donate to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.

4. Become a Sponsor. It’s up to you: If you sponsored 5 cents per face that would be $5 total; a dime a face would be $10 total; a quarter a face would be $25 total, etc. I won’t collect the sponsored money until October 1, 2009.

What a fun way to get together with the girls, get free stuff for you and most importantly make a difference for others.

If you would like to be a sponsor or to help in anyway, please contact me!

To participate, please call me at 724-470-8406 or email me at paulasteele@marykay.com. Thank you for your support, whether monetary or prayerful, as I work to not only pamper women, but also to raise money to help further our Foundation’s efforts.

Thank you so much!

Black and Gold Night with our unit

Our Cadillac dining room! Just for those that are part of a cadillac unit...with a pink cadillac revolving in the middle of the room! Too cool!

One of my closest friends from high school, Karen Click. She lives in Dallas and teaches at SMU. It was great to reconnect with her while I was there. We hadn't actually seen each other in seventeen years. It was a blast! One laugh after another...we just picked up right where we left off....true sign of friendship in my book!

Ready for Awards Night!

All glammed up and smiling!

The musical numbers were incredible! It was like being at the Grammy's or something....amazing!

Joshua winner of last year's "So You Think You Can Dance".

Vacation to NC with the Hardin Family

Jonah got his first haircut from Aunt Janice while we were there...isn't he so adorable!

Gee....where did all my hair go?

Ezra riding Ella on the back of the tricycle

We are all dressed up at the Hands On Museum...all the other folks in there were not having as much fun as we were!

That crazy Hardin family! Of course Dan and Eliza didn't participate in the theatrics...they had too much fun laughing at all of us.

Everybody wants to make a gigantic bubble!

Having fun with paint!

Daddy and Ella racing leggo cars

Jonah and Cyrus want in on the bubbles too!

Way to go Cyrus! Nice bubble!

It's Grandmommy's turn now.

Ella just served Ezra some homemade apple pie.

Preparing the next pie...lots of love and hard work go into one of these.

Easter 2009

The Easter Bunny did find our house!

Just the three of us!

Getting the eggs dyed was tons of fun!
Each egg went into several different colors.
Two year olds just see the world of egg dying much differently than mommy does!
